Land surveyors are typically hired before construction of a property or when the property is being sold. They are typically hired at the planning or developmental phase of any construction project, too. Without them, you will not be able to determine the boundaries of your property. Property boundaries must be properly and officially marked and established to avoid lawsuits caused by encroachments and building a structure that is deemed unsafe or too tall that it violates local laws and regulations. Only a licensed surveyor can conduct a boundary survey, which is required for most types of properties, whether it is a commercial or residential building. With a boundary survey, you can know exactly where your land begins and ends, and you can build within that perimeter.
